As we approach the end of this year, 2024, it’s inevitable to pause and reflect on the steps we’ve taken together as a team and as a family. At Bodegas Ostatu, every milestone we achieve is a testament to our collective effort, passion for viticulture, and commitment to our core values. For this reason, we’d like to take a moment to review this year, 2024.
One of the year’s most significant moments was receiving the Diploma in Advanced Management awarded by Euskalit. This recognition certifies our ability to manage competitively and sustainably and strengthens our shared vision. We’ve solidified a model that fosters innovation, promotes social responsibility, and ensures sustainable results for all our stakeholders. This achievement motivates us to continue building a project where each of you feels special sharing a part of your daily life with us.
We also want to highlight the well-deserved recognition received by Mariasun Sáenz de Samaniego and Ainhoa Navaridas, who were named among the 20 most influential women in the wine industry of Álava by AMPEA. This honor not only celebrates their careers but also underscores the fundamental role of women in viticulture and in our community.
In 2024, we also brought a collective dream to life with the creation of Subsierra, an association born from unity and hope for the future. Along with eight other wineries in the area, we decided to come together to work towards a sustainable future for the next generations, innovating, respecting the vine, and crafting wines that tell the story of our land.
Of course, we cannot overlook the milestones that reflect our passion for innovation and creation: our wines. This year, we introduced Zabala de Ostatu to the market, our first White Garnacha, a story of complexity and freshness. Additionally, we took a step forward in evolving our image with the redesign of our iconic wine Selección, now known as Menditto de Ostatu. With these changes, we close a chapter in the renewal of our range of single-vineyard wines, with origin as our fundamental pillar.
Each of these achievements fills us with pride but also inspires us to look ahead with determination. In 2025, we aim to continue working along the same lines, strengthening the bonds that unite us and taking our passion for wine and our commitment to the land to new horizons. We know that together, as a family and a team, we can overcome any challenge and continue writing this story that brings us so much joy.
